The stimulating action of the ultrasound cavitation and vacuum process is a non-invasive, painless, safe and fast alternative to liposuction.

How does the cavitation work?

The cavitation process is based on ultrasound technology and allows a concentrated ultrasound energy to be directed to a very specific depth, where it selectively breaks down subcutaneous fat cells. The skin’s surface and the vascular, nervous and muscular tissues all remain intact. After disrupting the adipose tissue, the fat, in the form of triglycerides, is released into the extracellular fluid between the cells where it can be metabolised by enzymes into glycerol and free fatty acids. Water soluble glycerol is absorbed by the circulatory system and used as a source of energy, whilst the insoluble free fatty acids are transported to the liver and processed like any other fatty acid – including those from food.

On what body parts can the cavitation process be performed?

Cavitation provides accurate cellulite and fat deposit reduction on the ABDOMEN, BUTTOCKS, THIGHS, HIPS, KNEES AND UPPER ARMS.

Who is cavitation aimed at?

Cavitation is aimed at both women and men who have problems with fat deposits or cellulite.

What is the course of treatment?

Cavitation does not require any special preparations for treatment. The first step is to measure the circumference of the body part to be treated. The treatment is executed with circular movements by an ultrasound applicator. Only one part of the body is done in one treatment (for example the buttocks or the abdomen…).
The treatment lasts 20 or 40 minutes, depending on the size of the treated area and the thickness of the fat deposits. At least three treatments are recommended to attain visible results. Additional treatments are not necessary, although pressotherapy, the NARL®517 treatment and electrical muscle stimulation can promote the metabolism of released fat cells and improve the skin’s elasticity.

What does the treatment feel like?

Most users describe it as painless; however, those with more sensitive adipose tissue have experienced slight discomfort. A specific sound audible during the treatment could be considered by some an inconvenience.

What are the expected results?

Cavitation provides immediate and lasting results. In most cases the circumference of the treated area is reduced by 2 cm or more, following the first treatment. The results may vary from case to case, depending on tissue composition, body area, age, metabolism and hormonal changes.

A low energy diet and physical exercise are necessary contributing factors to maintaining the results of this treatment.

Are there any side effects?

There is the possibility of minor side effects such as a temporary redness of skin, or increased thirst and slight nausea immediately after treatment; effects simply eliminated by an augmented intake of fluid. All these side effects are short term and disappear in a few hours. Despite of various studies which have proven the safety of this treatment, the cavitation treatment is strongly advised against if you are suffering from an acute illness, a liver condition, have blood coagulation issues, have a pacemaker fitted and during pregnancy.
